Are you fed up with those banners about cookies and privacy policies that appear everywhere, especially on European sites? You’re not alone.

Good news though - now you can get rid of them! Banner Hunter adds an extension to Safari that hides those banners and popups with a special stylesheet.

Features:

• A blocklist that includes over 4000 manually collected sites in 40+ top-level domains
• An auto-updater that keeps the blocklist up to date
• A Safari toolbar button that lets you report pages with banners

If you notice a site that still shows a cookie banner, please report it using the toolbar button so that it can be added to the blocklist. If you think the extension is preventing a site from displaying correctly, please report that too. You can also temporarily disable the extension in the Safari extension preferences.

Note: this app does NOT (intentionally) block cookies, trackers or ads - it only hides banners that inform you about cookies and privacy policies. It doesnt perform any actions on your behalf on the sites you visit, it does not automatically accept or reject anything for you or set any cookies. It simply tries to hide any page elements that are obscuring content.

Banner Hunter does not collect any information about the sites you visit (except if you submit it yourself). The toolbar button extension requires permission to access all sites, but its only used to read the current pages address. If this makes you uncomfortable, you can disable the toolbar button and leave the content blocker enabled.

Apps using modern Safari extensions API require Safari 10.0 or later (installed automatically with macOS 10.12 Sierra).
